Burkina Faso weather overview
Burkina Faso is a landlocked country and has a tropical climate with a single rainy season from May to September followed by a long, dry season. Conditions are at their best from November to February when the Harmattan desert winds disperse the usual humidity and create cooler, crisper but still sunny weather. A downside is that the Harmattan can be very dusty, so take scarves to protect nose and mouth if you are travelling at this time.
What to pack for Burkina Faso weather
Lightweight clothing is appropriate at any time of year along with waterproofs during the rainy season, particularly for the southwest where rainfall is heaviest.
