About Beaulieu
Set in its pretty namesake in the heart of the New Forest National Park, Beaulieu* (pronounced “Bew-lee") is an award-winning family attraction that boasts a world-famous collection of vehicles and over 800 years of heritage.
Operated by Beaulieu Enterprises Ltd and owned by the Montagu family for over four centuries, Beaulieu first opened the Palace House and Gardens to the public in 1952.
As a tribute to his late father, Edward, Lord Montagu displayed five Veteran cars in the entrance hall of the house for the grand opening. Over the years, the collection expanded to tell the story of Britain's motoring heritage and in 1972, it became the National Motor Museum.
As well as the National Motor Museum, Beaulieu comprises Beaulieu Palace House and Beaulieu Abbey.
