Antigua
Antigua is the main island in the country of Antigua & Barbuda, which sits among the Leeward Islands in the Caribbean. Sandals has one westward facing deluxe resort, Sandals Grande Antigua*, in the north of the island, less than six miles from the capital, St John's.
As with much of the region, the weather in Antigua is consistently good and relatively reliable, with temperatures fluctuating no more than a few degrees on average per month throughout the year.
There's so much sunshine to be had with long sunny days, although the clearest skies, and therefore most amount of sunshine, can be found from January to the end of April, which coincides with the driest time of year at around the end of March and beginning of April.
You can expect to find a gentle breeze, which helps to regulate the temperature, almost all year round. June and July see the strongest winds, making it an ideal time for those who love to windsurf, sail or tackle water sports that require a little natural puff. October is the calmest time of year wind wise with only a light breeze sweeping the shoreline.
As for the sea, the water is delightfully warm from January to December, dipping no lower than 26°C. Located as it is in the Caribbean, there is a small threat from tropical storms, typically from July to November.
These are most likely to occur in September in Antigua, although with only a 4% chance your odds of encountering a storm remain low.

Bahamas
Sandals has two resorts in the Bahamas, Sandals Royal Bahamian* in Nassau on the north shore of the island, and Sandals Emerald Bay* on the sliver of an island that is Great Exuma to the southeast. Conditions across the two islands are almost identical except for a few small nuances.
Temperature wise, Nassau and Great Exuma mirror each other in almost every way, except that June is a smidge hotter on average in Great Exuma, by about one degree, with an extra hour's sunshine thrown in for good measure.
While both experience lashings of sunshine all year round, the clearest skies can be found in April with eight hours of sunshine per day in Nassau, while Great Exuma sees slightly more with around nine hours of sunshine in March and April.
Statistically speaking, June is the cloudiest month of the year, although this is relative and with lows of seven hours of sunshine in Nassau, it's not something to worry about.
Light breezes can be found around both islands for most of the year, and are generally welcomed to ease the heat. Winds are often stronger in winter than in summer, with August and September the calmest months of the year.
Strangely, September is also the month you are most likely to see a tropical storm, although with only a 3% chance of this happening it remains unlikely, and certainly not enough to put you off.

As for rain, there are a handful of days each month that experience some sort of precipitation but these tend to be showers that don't linger and quickly blow through.
If you're staying at Sandals Royal Bahamian*, rain is most likely, although still quite minimal, in August and September, while in Great Exuma the heaviest downpours are most likely in September only.
Both Nassau and Great Exuma have idyllically warm water, perfect for swimming or snorkelling, with the temperatures peaking at around 29°C in the summer months.

Barbados
Barbados is a much loved holiday island that sits in the Lesser Antilles in the southeast of the Caribbean. You will find two Sandals resorts, Sandals Barbados* and Sandals Royal Barbados*, at St Lawrence Gap, some six miles from the capital, Bridgetown.
Barbados is blessed with incredible conditions from January to December, making it a real year-round resort. The temperature rarely falls below 28°C, and there's so much sun to be had with eight and nine hours on average, per day, throughout the year. November to April tends to be the clearest time of year, while May to the end of June can be cloudier.
Conditions are calm in September and October with only light breezes, while January to July sees a little more in the way of wind, thanks also to the island's proximity to the Atlantic Ocean, which leaves Barbados more exposed to the elements than some Caribbean islands.
March and April are the driest months on the island, and although July is the wettest with 18 days seeing some rain, this does not mean 18 days of solid rain - think passing showers and sharp tropical downpours that move on swiftly.
When it comes to tropical storms, Barbados' location further south and east than the likes of the Bahamas, Turks & Caicos, and Antigua, means that it is less likely to be affected by hurricanes or tropical storms.
You're most likely to see your holiday interrupted in September, although with only a 3% chance of this happening, the odds are in your favour. The sea is delicious all year round, with February marking the annual low at a balmy 26°C - jump on in!

Curaçao
The newest member of the Sandals' family is Sandals Royal Curaçao*. It lies towards the south of this southerly Caribbean island in the Lesser Antilles. A Dutch Overseas Territory, Curaçao is a mere 40 miles north of Venezuela, something that greatly benefits its weather year-round.
As it sits within the tropics, it not only enjoys high temperatures ranging from 29°C to 32°C daily on average but also remains noticeably drier owing to the absence of a distinct wet season not to mention that little touch sunnier (with an average of eight hours of sunshine per day) than many of the Caribbean islands further north and east.
As you can see in the guide below, the sea temperature is always inviting, rarely dropping below an average of 27°C. There's more good news if you're planning a trip to Curaçao when you consider that its location puts it outside of the typical hurricane zone, meaning that the island rarely experiences disruption and extreme conditions during the hurricane season.
One thing to watch out for is the heat and humidity, which is high and very high from June to October. If you prefer things less humid and a touch fresher, best to visit in January, February or March.

Grenada
Sandals Grenada* is located on the southwestern tip of the island, around 10 miles south of the capital St George's.
As with Barbados, Grenada benefits from sitting further south in the Caribbean, where temperatures are a notch higher, dipping no lower than 29°C on average, and where the water temperature remains at 27°C and above all year round.
The clearest skies can be found in January and February, while June and July can be a touch cloudier. Overlapping this, the period from mid-June to mid-August is prone to rain showers, while April is Grenada's driest month.
The winds are at their most laidback from August to November, while in May and June they can blow more strongly. In any case, these breezes are often quite desirable as they help to keep the air moving and stop conditions from feeling too hot.
As with the rest of the region, September is prime tropical storm time, although, with only a 4% chance of the month being affected in any way, the risk is low.

Jamaica
Sandals and Beaches collectively have six resorts on the island of Jamaica. Sandals has the majority with six properties spread across various locations, while family favourite, Beaches, has one property in Negril and another in Ocho Rios.
Montego Bay
Sandals has a collection of three luxurious all-inclusive resorts in Jamaica's northern Montego Bay: Sandals Montego Bay* and Sandals Royal Caribbean*. As with many Caribbean islands, conditions here are pretty consistent throughout the year, with high daily temperatures that rarely drop below 29°C.
There's ample sunshine on offer with January to April the clearest period, and June to the end of September and early October, the time with the most cloud - although at worst you're still looking at around six hours of sunshine per day in October.
Rain may make an appearance in September and October also, yet once more this is likely to be short and sharp bursts, not a lasting downpour. Montego Bay is pretty sheltered, and in September and October winds are generally at their calmest for the year.
The sea is consistently warm at between 27°C and 29°C all year. You do run the tiny risk of being affected by a tropical storm in September, however, with only a 2% chance, it's unlikely.

Ocho Rios
Jamaica's Ocho Rios is also home to three resorts: Sandals Ochi*, Sandals Royal Plantation*, and Beaches Ocho Rios*.
Ocho Rios is another area on Jamaica's north coast with excellent weather year-round, and daily maximum temperatures reaching 29°C even in the coolest months.
Every month sees between six to eight hours of sunshine a day with December to April being the sunniest months. There is only a minimal chance of seeing any really long periods of rain - typically in September and October.
There's plenty of time to work on that tan with long days, while June, September and October can be slightly cloudier than the rest.
The water off Ocho Rios is lovely and warm, and August and September present the only real threat from tropical storms, with a minuscule 2% chance of your holiday being affected in either of those months.

Negril
Sandals Negril* and Beaches Negril* both have plush beach side resorts in this area of Jamaica.
Negril enjoys perfect holiday weather conditions, with hot and sunny days - temperatures in the low thirties and between seven and eight hours of sunshine each day - while February, March and April represent the clearest time of year, with the least amount of cloud cover.
September and October see more cloud cover, not to mention the highest chance of seeing some rain, but don't let this put you off as the rain showers tend to pass on by quite quickly.
The west-facing nature of Negril means it isn't subject to the prevailing east wind, ensuring that the resorts here are very sheltered.
If you visit in August or September, you have a 2% chance of engaging with a tropical storm - so nothing much to worry about there. As with the rest of Jamaica, the sea is beautifully warm, with September seeing highs of around 30°C.

South Coast
Sandals South Coast* in Whitehouse resides right on the beachfront in one of the most sheltered spots in Jamaica. Free from any north or northeasterly winds, this stretch of coastline is just perfect for sunbathing, swimming, and snorkelling.
It sees some of the island's highest temperatures, with average daily readings rarely dropping below 30°C in any month.
The sea is ideal at between 27°C and 29°C, while only the late summer months have any real threat of passing rain showers. Once again, there is the slimmest chance of encountering the effects of a tropical storm in August and September.

St Lucia
St Lucia is a hugely popular destination with luxury lovers, couples and honeymooners, and it's easy to see why. The three resorts of Sandals Regency La Toc*, Sandals Grande St Lucian*, and Sandals Halcyon Beach* occupy areas on St Lucia's northwest coast, and offer some serious style and comfort on the edge of the Caribbean Sea.
Given its location, St Lucia is susceptible to moderate winds, with September and October the calmest time, and April to June the breeziest - great for getting out on that sailboat.
One of the reasons St Lucia is such a winter sun hit is the promise of clear blue skies from December to March, with no less than eight hours of sunshine each day, temperatures in the high twenties, even low thirties, and only the slimmest chance of having to deal with any showers.
The water is also grand for swimming and snorkelling at between 26°C and 27°C in the winter months, rising to 29°C by late summer.
Rain showers are more common from July to late September, and of course, your tropical storm threat increases in September also, with a tiny 4% chance of having your holiday affected in some way during that time.

Turks & Caicos
Beaches Turks & Caicos* is situated on the on the island of Providenciales in Turks & Caicos. It's an all-singing, all-dancing family-friendly retreat with activities and entertainment for everyone. The great news is that there's fabulous weather on hand throughout the year to make any stay a memorable one.
Much like elsewhere in the Caribbean, days are long, hot and sunny, with March, July, and August seeing the clearest skies.
Cloud can build a little more in May and June, but with seven hours of sunshine each day, it is unlikely to put a damper on your break.
The end of September can see some heavier downpours, but generally the Turks & Caicos sees tropical showers that pass by swiftly.
It's a windier spot than the nearby Bahamas, with the strongest winds reserved for the winter months, although July is possibly the best time to try your hand at windsurfing or similar.
Sea breezes tend to prevail all year round, which help to keep things fresh. The tropical storm risk sits at 4% for September yet shouldn't put you and your family off visiting Beaches Turks & Caicos at this time.
