Gabon weather overview
Gabon, which is sandwiched between Cameroon and Congo-Brazzaville, has a South Atlantic coastline to the west, lined with palm-fringed beaches. It is best visited between June and August, when heavy rainfall eases off and humidity levels are at their most manageable. Even at this time, you'll find the climate hot and sticky, with heavy cloud often obscuring the sun; Gabon has a typically equatorial climate, which means hot, humid, wet and cloudy conditions reign for most of the year.
Matters worsen considerably during the October to December monsoon season, when all but the sturdiest travellers May find the climate heavy going.
What to pack for Gabon weather
Light clothing is fine but, outside the dry season, effective waterproofs are a must.
