Things to do in Gran Canaria in July 2025

Culture vultures will feast on the rich pickings on offer in Gran Canaria in July. These include TEMUDAS Fest, a Las Palmas de Gran Canaria festival of theatre, music, and dance with the majority of events free to enter. At the Festival Internacional Canarias Jazz y Más Heineken, you have to pay for shows at the likes of the Auditorio Alfredo Kraus and Teatro Pérez Galdós whilst open air performances at the Plaza de Santa Ana don't require a ticket. Another freebie event is Pueblo Canario's Big Bang Vintage Festival, which rolls to a rockabilly vibe.

Elsewhere, in the north of the island, smooth sounds emanate from Teror's Festival Internacional de Saxofón y Jazz. Whilst you'll hear the roar of engines at the Rallye Comarca Norte de Gran Canaria, an autosports rally which crisscrosses the northern municipalities. Gáldar, meanwhile, devotes the whole of the month to fiestas held in homage to Saint James who they refer to as Santiago de los Caballeros.

At the opposite end of Gran Canaria, hit the beach at San Agustín for the Maspalomas Costa Canaria Soul Festival. Lovers of the wet and wild will adore the Gran Canaria Wind & Waves Festival in Pozo Izquierdo, the island's premier windsurfing destination. Or go global at Ingenio's Festival Internacional de Folklore featuring performers from all around the world.
