If you enjoy watching top-quality entertainers strut their stuff, Maspalomas' Masdanza is a must. The International Contemporary Dance Festival of the Canary Islands has plenty of events to choose from, and a full calendar means it runs over into November.

There's culture to take in over in Agüimes too. Where the Festival del Sur welcomes performers from Africa, America, and Europe. There are a mixture of free and cheap shows at this well established smorgasbord of drama and dance.
