Edinburgh Airport offers the cheapest official airport parking option in the UK with lowest price found of £34.99 for 7 days followed by Belfast airports and Aberdeen. The cheapest London airport is London Luton although the long stay car park is a 10-minute transfer from the terminal.

Below is a list of the most expensive UK airports with their low-cost official parking options available. Prices shown are based on the lowest price found on the official airport website for 7 days parking over the next 12 months.
Leading the pack is London City Airport with a whopping £149.50 for 7 days parking although the on-site car park is just a 2 minute walk from the terminal building. Southend Airport comes in second place with £113 for 7 days parking.
London Heathrow is the most expensive main hub airport with prices slightly cheaper at the Terminal 4 long stay car park. Transfer times for Heathrow vary depending on the terminal with all long stay car parks requiring a bus transfer between 7 and 20 minutes.

Longest transfer from official airport car parks
Heathrow Airport has the longest transfer from the official long stay car parks although it does vary by terminal with Terminal 2 and 3 are the longest, as the transfer includes travelling through the tunnel to the terminals.
Transfer times to/from Birmingham Airport vary by car park and can be anything from 3 to 15 minutes to the terminal building. Official long stay car parks at Stansted, Gatwick and Edinburgh are all up to 12 minutes away from the terminals.

Airport parking is usually one of the last things you book before you travel, however, the best tip is to book early to secure the best price. As demand increases the prices will go up, especially if you're booking one of the busier airports.
Choosing a car park is always a trade off between price and convenience. The closer car parks with the shortest transfer time to the terminal tend to be the most expensive options along with the meet & greet and valet services.
