The south of the Ivory Coast is sandwiched between Liberia and Ghana. In the south and along the coast, there are two rainy seasons - March to July and October to December - with torrential downpours during the first rains. Humidity is high throughout the year and rain can occur along the coast at any time. Inland and in the north, there is one rainy season from May to September and a long dry season throughout the winter months.
